Introducing Allan Drummond

Allan began teaching in 1966 and has not really stopped. He worked with students at St Mary’s Primary School, Yambio, South Sudan where he helped to train teachers until Covid hit the country. Lately, he has become somewhat intrigued and amused by the African proverb: when an old man dies, a living library dies with him and, rather than let that happen, he has asked Kilbaha to make available FREE, some of his lighter pieces of writing. Here is the first in the Gonaleg series, based on the kind of stories told by the Nzande people of Western Equatorial South Sudan, one of whose famous story time characters is the magic man, Toure the Trickster.
